Green Doesn’t Always Mean Go.

What I learned today was that green doesn’t always mean go. I woke up with green stuff crusting in my eye. Hot Mama thought it was pink eye or something like that, but it just means I have an eye infection and probably a cold. So as a reward, she gets to drip water into my eyes.

Wait. How is that a reward?

Escapes Are Necessary.

What I learned today was that it’s good to escape. Daddy went off to Tahoe with his friends for his annual Mancave weekend, and although it was sad to see him go (and I know he didn’t really want to leave us), I understand how this is a healthy thing.

We all need to press our reset button every so often.

Mine resides in my belly button, and it makes me laugh.

Nature Is Incredible.

What I learned today was that rain can be endlessly entertaining. These drops fall from the sky and drip down windows, and although it’s old news for veterans like Hot Mama and Wyatt, it truly is the most amazing thing in the world to me.

Sometimes, they meet up and form a super raindrop.

Sometimes, they just avoid each other.

And sometimes, they land in just the right spot.

I never know what’s gonna happen next.

But I do know that I’m riveted.

Mothers Never Cease To Amaze.

What I learned today was that Hot Mama is amazing. I mean, I already knew that. She’s able to feed me through her boobies. That’s some sort of superpower, ain’t it?

Still, she stayed home today, and with Wyatt at school and Daddy at work, it was just the two of us. And she made me laugh and smile, which made those moments right before she puts me down, where I rest my head on her shoulder, that much more special.

Usually my Hot Mama doesn’t have to do anything to make me love her.

Today, she did. And I love her more.

I wish I could tell her that.

Pain Hurts.

What I learned today was that being in pain sucks. Tonight I woke up to a bad pain in my mouth. And although Hot Mama and Daddy gave me medicine and allowed me to sleep in their bed, it just wouldn’t go away. Not even shaking my head back and forth helped it out.

But then, I got tired, and sleep took over, and it didn’t go away, but rather, I stopped noticing it.

Let’s file this under “Do Not Like”.

Force Beats Finesse.

What I learned today was that it’s better to dunk than to lay it up. Hot Mama put a miniature basketball hoop by my side while I sat, and Wyatt was showing me how to shoot a ball through it. Honestly, it’s way above my development level right now, and I really didn’t come close or even grasp the easiest fundamentals.

But I did manage to slam a small ball through with authority.

Sticking my tongue out like Jordan was just an added bonus.
